I'm seeing interesting posts about urban survival living

I lived in a car. The last 4 months a van which is way better

Biggest problem is heat. Roasting alive in summer

Below freezing is easy. Just dress in layers

Don't try to cook.

Eat turkey, beans, bananas, and granola

Park at big apartment complexes.

I did get rousted once by cops. I had no insurance on the car. Lucked out.

They justwanted to measure I wasn't frozen in there

Best long plan is buy a trailer in the stix for 4k or so

Never make payments on anything

Work 25 hours a week max

Tell nobody. I dressed well every day.

Do the apartment complexes ever kick you out?

Do you like live that way??

How did you shower?

Interesting story.

Glad you're doing better now

Agreed.

How did you make it out?
It was easy

Late nights were lonely.

I'd be out there thinking nobody in this world knows where I am....and the moonlight glancing through the windshield

Lol, also, when a late night car pulls in next to you you're paranoid they'll see you and call cops

I'd usually move if that happened........ Look Madge! There's somebody in there sleeping

Honestly, heat was awful

You can't leave windows down, so 85 degrees in car sweating

The car radio helps. Connects you to world.

If I had a woman, I could be happy in a big van with a dog

....i remember shaving with a blade many times in the car mirror

sounds like hell. How am i supposed to cope without a pc? Do it properly, get a generator or solar panels. Get a caravan with a comfy bed. Get also a ventilator for summer days.

I would love to trade my car in for a van. Living in a vehicle is perfect in California where the weather isn't too hot or too cold year around. You need car insurance though and a you can share a mailbox/address with a relative.

Where do you bathe? I'm too high inhib to bathe in a public shower facility.

Can't remember. Don't think so. Motel parking lots, yes by security.

One time I was booted out of motel pool lounge chair at 3am because I was avoiding car heat

Best parking places, SUBURBS. Motel, college, apartments, even Walmart.

If you can't sleep, yo go to 24 hour donut shop.

The point of all this is to save money to buy a trailer for cash

Then you never pay rent again

I'll be doing that someday. Thanks for the inspiration.

Be smarter than I was

A good van with a bed and blocked windows

Gym membership 2 bucks a day, shower, shave. In fact, I swam every day

Holidays are weird. Very weird cuz all your usual hangs are closed.

Sounds boring as fuck, what would you be doing all day?

Honestly?

Well, working spotty labor jobs for cash. The point being, you don't wanna get up at 8 then forget it

This is survival only

On the other hand, you lounge away big blocks of time. Reading. Swimming. Mini road trips.

But then where would you park your trailer?

OP picked the survivalist build.

Damn lucky. My family/social network would never let me slide with that. Which city do you live in?

I meant mobile home for permanent

You can buy a cheap one on a half acre cheap

I did this outside Atlanta. Which explains the heat problem.

Ideally, you could do it ,say, in a place like Sedona summers, and Phoenix winters. I bet a Lotta people already do it

Lol to the 15 K outfitted van

If you had 15 K put it down on a cheap double. Wide somewhere

No air conditioning in van?

Your family just let you live in poverty and didn't help you out?

Incel life sucks but I'm glad I never did that shit

Want to live free? Buy a small piece of cheap land and put a 40 foot shipping container on it. Insulate the shipping container with spray foam, cut out doors and windows, drywall the inside, put in furniture, get some solar panels and deep cycle batteries, put a 1000 liter rain collecting water tank on the roof and pipe it to your kitchen and bathroom, done.

No

I have a generous loving family

I just couldn't work 9 to 5 then

I was burnt out

Still am

i'd choose a van, i'd call it the cope van
Native-Campervans104-889x556.jpg

damn now i kinda wanna live in one
and have a paint job of our disciples on it--st.blackopscel, ER, azn dude and some others i'm missing. would be the ultimate cope van tbh. oh and call it the "cope or rope" van, having ropes on the back dragging and shit

I don't know man. I read once about 3 foids, mother and 2 adult daughters living in a minivan in California. Why would you do it if you can rent a place in Tijuana for 200$ and work in San Diego.
