eugenics is based, provided its main criteria for reproduction is intelligence. I'm well aware that the national socialst eugenic programs had other criteria in mind as well, and while I'm not necessarily opposed to that, I wouldn't put as big an emphasis on it as they did. Actually, Franco did help the Axis. He sent expeditionary troops to Hitler and a whole division of the Wehrmacht were Spanish troops with some Portuguese volunteers.

Franco promised to fully support Hitler’s war effort if he captured Cairo and the Suez Canal, which Hitler never was able to do. Hitler died surrounded by Slavic commies and Franco died in his own bed of natural causes at the age of 82. Franco not entering the war was a smart decision, he listened to his generals and Hitler didn’t.

Let’s not forget that Franco was one of the biggest NATO allies against communist during the Cold War.
