Pretty much my experience.Everything is so fucked nowadays.
It is too much to ask. All the cool people are out working in their air-conditioned office or slaving their butts off on a construction site. The only people you can hang out with these days, are other broke losers. That's no good, unless you have a incel friend who has rich folks and who lives in his parent's mansion. Man, if only Elliot Rodger was here with us
The best-case scenario is that you get together a bunch of friends who are equal losers, and then one of you gets a job, then he can gift vidyas to his mates on Steam every few months to keep the friendship alive. My builder friend works 6 days a week and has a gf but at least he had the decency to gift me an old skool vidya earlier this year. We met up in cyber space and raided the enemy base with our hover tanks. It's a bad friendship but at least we met up in a game, that's the best I can hope for these days
