I really liked both games.
the concept behind them is simple, although I'd say I liked exit 8 more for it's simplicity.
when the concept is very simple and abstract but the details are high and plenty and the worlds are emmersive you get a good game.
this why I think graphics do matter sometimes.
I can't imagine myself enjoying both games if they had low quality/8 bit/pixel art graphics or someshit.
I preferred exit 8 because it didn't have that cheap horror and achievement chasing feel, it was clear and not complicated, it's just a game that you play one in a lifetime and sticks with you forever.
