I have constant ringing in my ears.

I hear a hissing sound, mostly at might.
It was probably there for years, possibly as long as 30 or 40 years.
I just assumed it was background noise at night, or the sound of the air rushing by.
It sounds like when you leave the gas on, but don't light it.
I only noticed t when reading on the internet about ear ringing.
I just assumed ear ringing sounded like a low pitch siren.
When I covered my ears, the hissing was still there.
