The whole color system=rank reminds me a lot of a dark humor sci-fi tabletop RPG setting that has been around since the '80s called Paranoia.

It takes place in a sprawling complex that has been sealed off from the outside world after an unspecified disaster. The computer that runs the place is well-meaning but insane. As "troubleshooters" you and the other players are tasked with a dangerous and potentially-nonsensical mission by the computer while avoiding hostile factions, monsters, hazards, and the computer itself who might decide to execute you for treason at anytime.

The game also has a color-coded security-clearance system that determines your place in society and what privileges you have from lowest to highest:

- Yellow

- Blue
- Indigo
- Violet
- Ultraviolet
