Venting I hate when people ask me if i play any sports

It happened today when some relatives visited our house.
Because I'm Albanian it is more important for the guys to be playing some type of sport, usually soccer.
When they ask me if I play any sports in my free time, I always have to explain to them that I don't and I see the person starting to realise that I'm an antisocial loser that spends all day at home.

I've always been pretty physically inept so sports weren't in the cards for me, either. I met some athletes at school who were remarkably kind and fair, but overall I don't feel comfortable around the sports-minded. I don't get why it has to become so competitive and aggressive. And being asked if you're "into" sports is too often a prelude to some hyper-competitive, aggressive ritual I never want to participate in. So agreed.

Do you know of any high quality biomedical evidence to corroborate this idea? I wonder what drives analogous hyper-competitiveness and aggression among female athletes, for example. Or comparable behavior among people of both genders in non-athletic disciplines traditionally exhibiting these characteristics. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but it seems to me there are many cultural and other biological variables vying as determinants of aggression and competitiveness.

Yeah I'm pretty good and if I tried I could definitely become great at them, but I'm too antisocial and wouldn't fit in so I never joined any sports.

Oh man thats one of my pet hates too. Worst was the people who would literally ask "oh so WHAT sport do you play?" like not even asking "if". I used to just blatantly lie and pretend I was a basketball player.
