I don't care about voice actors outside of maybe Mario because his voice was so iconic and the new one is shit. 10/10 times voice actors are some of the most obnoxious and narcissistic individuals in the gaming industry. Voice acting is not hard. Putting on a cliche anime voice is not difficult. Yet they act like they're required for a game to be good. Whenever an actor/actress is fired, I roll my eyes when people claim that it's a huge issue.

It's also funny when they claim that they should be paid ludicrous amounts of money like the bitch who voiced Bayonetta. They think they deserve the same pay as coders who made the game.

Oftentimes I play games in Japanese because the voice acting sounds more natural than the obnoxious cartoonish tones of voice actors in the west.

I hate all EN actors. And of them all the EN VA I hate the most. And of them all, the gacha EN VA I hate the most of the most. Cucked cringe ass trooners. Either do your fucking job or gtfo. When given option, I just play with either JP or CN VA. At least in there, the VA industry has some profesionalism, prestige and the VAs can, at the very least, pretend to be sane people.

All EN gachashit VAs should be shot on sight (in GTA V).

While with Japanese VA you just feel like they know what they are doing (as they were attending acting school for VA) and try to make the best use of their voices to make those characters more believable and more alive.

I hate people with good voices in general. I dont even like singing anymore. Prefer instrumental music. Reminds me of my own subhuman sound. But more importantly, people with "nice voices" are always full of themself. They never shut up. In love with their own voice and a pain in the ass to be around.

Plus like you said it's not a hard job, most people here could probably be voice actors and do just as good of a job as most of them, it's just about knowing someone who can land you the job.
A lot of people would probably even be willing to do it for cheap or for just so their voice can be in their favorite franchisizes, voice actors not thinking they are in one of the most replaceable professions is laughable, even before A.I. was also a threat for them.

Voice actors actually do suck unless they are really talented, hearing an unfitting voice or a mediocore/bad voice actors really takes you out of the setting and ruins your immersion, plus most of these people are super entitled and constantly demand higher wages despite being privledged to do a job many people would kill to do.
I can't wait for A.I. to replace them. The really talented ones will still be able to find work.

Voice acting doesn't pay that good and it's very nepotistic. The only voice actors that really make any money are the popular ones that have fans and go to conventions.
