I used to be libertarian leaning and I guess I still am to a certain degree, I really wanted to believe there is a correlation between merit and wealth. I think my libertarianism had a strong degree of naive innocence and wishful thinking.
The world is so fucked up I can't even begin to grasp it anymore. A handful of people control everything. There is no room for anything. The small businesses are regulated, the markets are manipulated, the 'conquest' of nature is an infantile libertarian myth, as every resource is now owned all people do is manipulate each for profit or take it by force.
There is just no room no move, no room to breath.
Everything is controlled, everything is claustrophobic. IQ and knowledge seem worthless.
