I watched the Warfare movie yesterday and it tries to make me feel pity constantly for the soldiers in that movie like they didn’t deserve to be shot at and that they were just foolish 20 year olds who didn’t know better. It places more weight on the heroics of saving their injured brothers than the fact they illegally occupied an innocent Iraqi family’s home, tried to assassinate people from there by using it as a sniper’s nest, and held the family at gun point in their own bedroom to be used as human shields.

They also used their Iraqi interpreters as meat bags by sending them outside first to draw out the enemy like they were sacrificial lambs.

There’s a big difference between a “veteran” and a War Hero. Adolf Hitler was a War Hero, Timothy McVeigh was a War Hero, Roy Benavidez was a War Hero, Travis Haley is a War Hero. David Goggins is just a veteran.
