Venting I hate talkative uber drivers

Talkative uber drivers always ruin your experience while riding. I should not be forced to talk to you just because we are in the same vicinity of eachother. I especially hate when they keep trying to talk to me while I have my headphones on. Just drive the fucking car and leave me alone, it can't be that fucking hard. If I am paying for a ride its the least you can do.

I've only had the displeasure of having to order an Uber once, and the guy was some Mexican who was blasting Mexican music the entire ride. Admittedly, he got me to where I needed to go and didn't bother trying to talk, so I suppose I should at least be grateful for that.

Agreed. In my experience the older the driver is (especially if Baby Boomer) the more likely they are to try to chat. Maybe it's because older generations are more social in general, not sure.

I know right, I don't understand how they're so social and talkative. I guess it's because they never used the Internet or a cell phone before age 45 or something. They HAD to interact IRL constantly in their younger years.

Yeah they were brought up in a different world entirely, most of their prime adult life was also pre internet so they can't relate. I'm assuming even if they were ND and more prone to social anxiety that they would still be more talkative then the average gen z
