We already have decently advanced AI at this point, it would be more logical and perhaps cheaper to implement it with some sort of hologram technology. Something like Cortana from Halo.

If you have a sex robot it’ll be hidden somewhere, can’t take it outside, would have to clean it, maintenance, etc

Wouldn’t it theoretically be better to have a holographic GF you could carry around in your back pocket? Whenever you want privacy she can appear as a small hologram, when you’re alone with her she can appear full size.

Sure it wouldn’t help with touch starvation or sexual desire however it would cure the companionship problem most Men crave.
