Will be interesting to watch if this turns out to be more than cope fantasies of some economists. Unironically a world-shifting event for Slavic countries if the largest EU Slavic country turns the tables like this on the country which acted like a magnet for Slavic immigrants for so long.

So far, it seems that Slovenia is on track to be the first Slavic country to overtake them, most likely followed by Czechia in a couple of years, but whether Poland will do so as well is very much questionable, though they are on a good way to do so with how increasingly competitive and innovative their country and businesses are.

UK GDP per capita is about to be overtaken by South Korea and Slovenia. If the UK continues with the same rate of growth it has enjoyed over the last decade, then Poland will be richer than Britain in about 12 years’ time.
