I was a naive, romantic *kid* that just wanted to be liked by someone. I didn't hate girls at all, I wanted to get to know them and form a genuine connection... And all I got in return was pain. So no, you can't "just find someone" as if it were nothing. It doesn't matter how much you try, you'll always fail because guess what? A good personality might help you keep a relationship, but no girl will ever even *consider* dating you if your looks aren't up to par.
