What do people say about the Intel GPUs ? Are they reliable and compatible with modern and old games ?

From what I've heard their main selling point is price per VRAM. In my country, for example, a B580 with 12GB , which released last year is about half of price of RTX 5070 12GB which released few months after, iirc. If You want to play latest FotM on 4k with ray-tracing and whatever else there is You'll want NVIDIA despite it's price since it has faster memory speed and GDDR7. But I also heard that Intel GPUs, if You have Intel CPUs, have certain instabilities with i3 and i5, but on the other hand, if You have 13th and 14th get i7 or i9 then there were those stability and degradation issues, idk if intel patched it already. From what I've heard, modern games shouldn't be problem on normal settings, idk about old games. I'll keep an eye on them, maybe my next upgrade will be intel.
It mostly only matters what APIs (and which their versions) they implement, like OpenGL, DirectX or Vulkan. If the game's API and version is supported by the graphics card, it should just work in 99.9% of the cases.
True, I don't know much about the intel cards besides that they were still fairly sketchy on support

I dont have issues with FPS in most games, but the general stability is shit and many games tend to crash or freeze

amd has open source graphics, it's compatible with wayland without any extra steps of messing with drivers, and the games run better.

99.9% of my games work on linux, it's just 0.01% that won't work i mean they work on steam proton or some shit but not wine
IDK how good they are in terms of reliability and compatiblity but i can't imagine them being better than AMD since the latter is an established brand

I tried installing like a billion different drivers and nothing changed
I'm fine with my rx 5700 xt. I have way less issues than with garbage Nvidia drivers. But performance left a lot to be desired and there are no mesh shaders so you can't even play FF7 remake part 2.
