Legit, reddit is a shithole where only content upvoted by the greatest portion of the userbase (the middle of the bell curve) is shown and anything deviating too far from that is ruthlessly shut down. The truth does not matter, only consensus and mediocrity. The sky is blue and the dogpill is true, say the former and nobody cares because it's a basic bitch take but say the latter and you will be shut down because soys will get mad. I don't think I have ever seen a single fresh take, regardless of truth even, on that entire garbage site that wasn't downvoted into being hidden, shadowbanned or straight up deleted.
