Imo goes beyond even status. It goes back to what @SchrodingersDick has said about skeleton volume being necessary to quality of life in a male.
The "ugly" manlet athlete (are there even many short football players anymore) still has a naturally large intimidating frame. With very few exceptions (skinny white and East Asian prettyboys) women don't seem to like framelet guys.

What I'm saying is that it's not just status but also perceived genetics that gets supposedly "ugly" (to men) sexual attraction from women.
Ugly manlet atheletes may not be what guys would consider attractive but they are naturally intimidating looking because of their large frame and looking grown up. Being a framelet and looking too young for your age is conversely viewed as a death sentence for males. And of course if you are a framelet and too young looking you probably aren't going to end up being a football player.

Yeah but I'm also saying that the perceived genetics part is as important if not more important than status for sports like American football in those guys attracting women. And if you simply look like you could be a professional football player as a black guy and have the same mannerisms and low inhibness you probably will have no problem getting women to be physically attracted to you.

It's also culture that reinforces already popular physical appearances and popular or desirable stereotypes associated with certain physical appearances.
Black guys that look like ballers or football players in the professional leagues at first glance and behave like women would expect them to behave have no problem attracting women.
