I like my 10-12 hour restaurant job when I'm on breaks from school. Not that I wouldn't prefer to not work, but I at least like working at the place. Feels more productive making money than sitting at home playing video games and watching YouTube all day. Also land conservation side projects and farm work I do in University is pretty entertaining. Work isn't so bad if you like what you're doing.

It's not the work that's the problem, it's working for 9 hours a day that's the problem then you are expected to do it 5 days a week at top performance. I plan to work 20 years then try get disability, I don't care what people think about me taking government money, the British government treated our people as 2nd class citizens for decades so I feel no respect for them.

This is the strategy that I adopt:
Work for part of the year, NEET it up for the rest of the year, and go on a few trips/adventures to keep things interesting. I just finished a temporary assignment and will be traveling around the Southwestern U.S. next month. After that, I'll look for a temporary job that will fund my future travels to South America (I've already been to Europe and Asia, and have traveled extensively around North America).
Keep in mind that I'm currently living with my parents, which gives me this luxury. I also live in a state that has a generous healthcare system. I can make up to $16k and be eligible for Medicaid -- and make up to $24k and be eligible for a different plan that provides the same coverage for only $20/month.
