It was called the mummy. It was about this kid who has this magic bracelet thing stuck to him and they need these scrolls to get it off.
 
I think I remember that, actually. Don't know how much of it I watched, though. I found my own childhood show recently. Just decided randomly to look it up, and it happens to be getting uploaded weekly to youtube right now, which is great.
