By ERs I mean people who went ER. I think we should call them ERs, just like how in Rome, emperors were called Caesars after Julius Caesar.
Anyway, with Elliot, they talked about him a LOT, they misrepresented him, but at least they got people intrigued by him. They talked so much about the "virgin killer", interviewed his friends etc. Same with Adam Lanza. I heard about those two even though I'm in Spain.
With Cho not so much, but probably because he's asian so the establishment, as represented by the media, didn't want to portray a non white doing something bad, in order to keep people in line with the usual "whites are racist" narrative of the establishment, rather than wanting to silence ERs. And even then the media still helped put his manifesto out there.
Lately however, they don't even give ERs any notoriety at all. Most people doesn't even know about Nikolas Cruz. I think they make a point not to, and in fact if you check the wikipedia page on a shootup (media and big tech are essentially the same thing these days), they make a point to barely mention the ER who did it. They almost make it sound like it was a natural disaster jfl.
This is a problem that needs to be rectified
