In about 10 years when gen alpha are teens, they will make posts about feeling nostalgic for Italian brainrot, Mr Beast, youtube/tiktok AI generated slop and shitty clonic Marvel and Disney movies. Even not so long ago I felt sad for young zoomers who call GTA V or Subway Surfers nostalgic, but the childhood of the current generation looks even shittier and more bleak.

Though to be fair, probably when I was a kid the millennials and gen X thought that 2000s cartoons and videogames were garbage quality and that their childhood was miles better. I remember on a movie site reading a Heidi review made in 2007 that said "these are the cartoons that kids should watch, because they have values and good morals, unlike that Digimon garbage" :lul:

The 2020s suck ass.

10 years millennial vs zoomer

This meme also reminds me of GTA V or Skyrim being re-released on 3 different generations of consoles kek
I have a 13 year old nephew who plays GTA V on Playstation with his friends, I think he was like 3 years old when that game came out and it is still a "current" game. Even the graphics look current from what I can tell, yet new games somehow require a $1500 graphics card bought within the last few years and even then they run like shit, wtf is this timeline.

The one thing that amazes me is the shift from PSX graphics to like PS3 graphics. Or N64 to GameCube even. It felt like we were living in the future, these kids will never know what that huge shift in technology felt like. People born in 1985-1999 were the last people to get some semblance of what life was like before the digital revolution. They went outside and played with neighbors. Everyone from 2005 and up was born in the middle of the digital boom, with the release of the iPhone in 2007 everything else was digitalized and never the same. People born before the digitalization saw the internet’s inception and its growth from a niche subculture to a global necessity. People born after 05 for al they know the internet was always there. Some kids don’t even fully grasp the concept of the internet/know what it is yet they spend all their time on it. They can’t even comprehend how their parents are literally older than Google. The generation being born as I type this is going to be the most unique and different generation in history because they’re spawning in a world in which the internet is the norm, information is abundant yet most of it irrelevant, most social interactions happen behind a screen and certain concepts like reading books or playing with toys and phasing out.

GTA V nostalgic. Fuck these clowns.
