No, they take you out into the roads. It was roughly 3:00 PM so the roads were fairly busy. Regardless, I failed the first time because I hadn't remembered a technicality in which you have to fully stop at a red light before you make a right turn (you can normally turn at red lights, but I forgot that you have to actually treat it like a stop sign instead of just slowing down).
The second time was a situation I hadn't faced before, and my low-IQ doomed me because I had a hard time judging the width of the car in the narrow space and therefore hadn't corrected enough and tapped my side-view mirror lightly against the car to my right, which was a fail.
I gave up on driving when I realized that life had nothing for me
Or just cheaper. I did mine right at the time when the tests there were becoming about thrice more expensive or something, if it hadn't worked out I'd have to pay what people before me had to pay for four different entire courses just to try again.
this is how people drive in the real world. you shouldn't feel discouraged becasue of this. you drive a certain way for the test and a different way in real life.
unlucky this happened during your test but 2 things: dont feel pressured to do something you aren't confident in and you learn the size of your vehicle through more experience (something you really start to gain after you have a license and drive alone)
10 hours really isnt that much! theres so much more to learn, a feeling for things that cant be taught. I took one paid lesson and then i just read the driving manual 20 times and practiced with my brother a lot, maybe like 30 hours before I took the test and I still didn't even feel confident
you should try again, the way you write there's no way someone like you can't do it when they let everyone else out here do it. please try again to get your license again! the ticket to freedom in car centric america is a license. even if i have nowhere to really go, sometimes the highlight of my week is driving to the store listening to my music alone.
oh and im pretty much a retard, I didnt get my license until 23 but I knew it was something that needed to be done because of living in the US so i was determined

10-30 hours? In Australia (NSW, at least), you need to drive for 100 hours minimum with your parents before you can sit the driving test.
we in america buddy, as i was over 18, there wasn't even any minimum hours and I didnt take any classes or anything either.
they practically hand out licenses here, doesn't mean I don't want to know what im doing, personally I dont really feel like I learned how to drive until I was driving alone after I got my license
Im going for my license currently too and im terrible at the driving lessons idk why
Never took a driving test, I just went to the dmv and asked for a license and they said "lol sure" i never took anything to learn to drive

I lost my learner’s permit and never bothered to get a new one. I’d rather just walk.
Yeah normies obviously have better spacial awareness than us so they can pass it first try, but don't give up, I failed four times before getting the licence.
Try and practice more before your next test.
