I enjoy sometimes having a gf in my dreams but am still depressed in the daytime

Occasionally I'll dream about having a gf, for some reason I don't actually touch them but they are there (or I'm texting or calling them) and they are my gf. Sometimes I think I should be content with this because at least I have the feelings of having a gf even though it's an illusion.

But the reason I still feel bad in the daytime is that I'm still not actually loved or chosen or attractive to anyone. So it's not just about the feelings of companionship in the moment but about knowing someone actually cares.
