Everyone who has these thoughts should try vr. Quest 2 is a pretty cheap option for vr.
blade and sorcery - good sound effects, I get a hard sometimes when beating the foids
bloodtrail - decent but can get boring
bonelabs/boneworks - decent mods plus the guns are cool
gmod in vr with gore mods is also good
Of course this isn't enough on it's own but pair this with daydreaming skills and it can be a good cope.
