If I compliment a women on her figure then how is that objectification and how is it dehumanizing? Giving a compliment like that doesn’t inherently mean I view her as any less of a person than anyone else. How is it different from complimenting a guy on his height or his haircut?
I also read that objectification means women are valued more based off of their looks than abilities. But isn’t everyone valued like that?
Tall men are more likely to be in leadership positions than short men. Is that objectification? No one has ever called it that.
