I don’t understand how some subreddits will have the most violent subject matter, yet have a “no nsfw discussion or posts” rule

Even though the characters are killing people in horrible ways all the time and or doing lots of bad things, forbid anyone say something remotely sexual, there’s kids in here!

I would get it if it applied only to porn so the subreddit doesn’t turn into a porn sub. But so many subs like this ban all nsfw talk all together like it’s a preschool and not a subreddit about a wholly violent story.
