it costs money, I have to get out of the house, and I have to wait for my turn (up to 30 minutes sometimes) and then sit in a chair waiting, staring awkwardly and stoicly at myself in the mirror saying nothing for 30 minutes. it's fucking fucked.

I don't like it either, mainly because I have to look at myself in the mirror for around 20 minutes and I see all the obvious imperfections.

I want to die every time.

Today I will be cutting my hair on my own for the first time in a long time and will probably continue doing it forever.

I have the exact same experience. I am also extremely tickling and have to pinch myself to stop from wriggling when they use clippers around my neck. It's embarrassing, but thankfully my hair grows slowly so barber visits are rare.
