My father once told me: „Remember that, nobody wants to see you successful, nobody and your own brother is your biggest envious.“
He was talking about his own, but he wanted to tell me that it’s not just his own case but it’s universal.

I always thought’ he’s just bitter because of bad expiriences and that people do have a good heart deep down, every bad person is just a person who is angry and bitter and not really evil. (What a dumb thought).

People don’t want you to be happy or successful in life.

They want to be better than you.

Actually they do understand, but it’s hard to accept it, because people are afraid of the obvious truth.

I do think this is often true. Not always, but often. And yes I think family often do it too. I don't know about what percentage of people do this.

For me... I do want others to do well but at the same time I don't want to be left behind alone and with nothing. So it's tricky.
