I cannot stand playing 2D games

I honestly like most of the themes and aesthetics but I just cannot bring myself to play 2D games

Agreed, although you should be more precise since all of these are 2D sidescrollers. I don't harbor the same hatred with JRPGs, for example.

I'm an old man that was a lad during the second-generation era of consoles, so I (naturally) have a penchant for 2D games

I did play the old 2D games when back in the gameboy/DS era but recently I just cant bring myself to do it when 3D games exist

Yep, same. I try and go back to play the old Zelda’s like A Link to the Past but I eventually fall off of it. I derived some basic forms of enjoyment from Terraria but I still can’t get into any of this sidescroller bullshit. Buying Silksong on release was the most retarded thing I’ve ever done
