I bought a relatively new BMW M3 yesterday. Took it for a test drive and instantly fell in love. Been wanting a BMW for 5 years now and now fortunate enough to have one. The payments are $875 a month JFL but it’s a beast.

I gently tap the gas and it’s already showing I’m going 80+ mph. 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. It has 5 different sport modes. Mogging the highway

Work has been good. Mandatory 80 hours but anything above 40 is double time. I’m meeting a lot of people and life is going good. It’s very much a “brotherhood” mentality. Also cool I get LE discounts.

So yeah, a house I own, two cars including a BMW M3, a career in law enforcement, get along with everyone, and a woman has yet to approach me. All else is good though.

Oof $875 a month. When I was paying on my Mustang I was doing $750 a month. That was brutal.

What is it like working in law enforcement? My dad was a cop, and he absolutely hated it.

Told me about how he tried to resuscitate a dead baby once. :fuk:

Same situation I paid cash for a house when I was 21 and I have 3 vehicles. I hit $100k in savings last year. I wanted to be a cop but I didn't want to go to school for it plus I'm 5'7 so no one would take me serious.

Driving a fast car’s one of the best copes in life. I got to drive a SVR in Dubai a while ago and still remember the thrill of putting your foot all the way down. Enjoy your M3

maybe you can ascend like this hapa guy that has a bmw

The overtime will definitely pay for it, besides we spend most of our time driving so might as well enjoy it

A lot different than a civilian position. You have to show no emotion, show that you are capable of being a leader and can 100% back that decision, and have zero biases or show “favoritism” even if you know someone is 100% in the wrong.

A lot of it comes down to respect. Everyone around you including the public holds you to the highest standard. It’s a privilege to serve, not a right.

Glad that you found something that you enjoy brocel! :feelsaww:

Cool car too :feelsautistic::feelscomfy:

Are you NT by chance?

I'm sure it would be pretty much impossible to hold a position like that as non NT.

Where I live we don't really need cars so I never bothered to buy one,. But I'd like to buy a '10 camaro SS and get it blacked out.
Unfortunately most I see are in bad shape.

you are a cop?

Based. Gotta watch the heat and oil though. Turbo vehicles tend to run hotter and have more internal stress, so make sure the oil is changed often enough

Yes what wouldn't I be? My brother got me a job at a truck stop. Many jobs but do us a favor and take a loan out equivalent to a house so you can get a piece of paper so you can make just above minimum wage and let us know how that works out for you.

@Mango is our resident bmw expERt

i came very close to buying the same car but they are rare in my area and couldn't find a deal I liked

Tbh

Mogs me, no relatives of mine have any business or even meaningful job positions. I need to collegeslave to get degree to obtain any experience in nonphysical job.

Or my autism is too severe

What's a mystery? That you live at home but somehow you are broke?
And that was about a long response time. Now I was reminded about loans, but I thought it's a domain for people from late 20s to late 30s

Bro is living the dream. How did you become a cop? do you get paid to lurk here?

Was actually looking into a used G80 m3 when I bought my 2024 RS3, but was hard to find a pre-lci XDrive car (don't like the giant screen) with carbon buckets

May just have to put up with the screen if I decide to try to get one again as finding a car that meets my criteria is stupid annoying

I still have my F87 M2 C and E36/8 Z3 M Coupe to keep me entertained :feelsokman:

I didn't want the LCI screen either lol, I prefer it tucked into the dashboard

altho would prefer reg seats to carbon buckets, i need padding

Yeah I don't like how new cars are putting everything in the screens. I drove a Tesla Model 3 performance once, felt super weird and awkward
