I blocked reddit on my phone

I was spending so much time reading bullshit and ragebait in there. Also it kept recommending me irrelevant subreddits. I blocked it with an app and every time I try to access it it redirects me to the "blocked site" page.

Even if it's easy to disable, this alone already discourages me to use the site (I used this strategy in the past with other sites) so hope this will work again. So long and fuck you Soyit.

you could block reddit from your router it would stop the app from working too probably, though I should note this only works if your always at home on your wifi if not then it'll alway go back to working, I hate phones so I got rid of mine and just use boomer flip phone

I don't want to block reddit forever. Just for long enough so I don't browse it as often and for so long. Kinda like forgetting it's there.

well you don't have to block it forever even with a router block you can remove it anytime but idk many option besides that built in features to phones to limit screen time but those are quite easy to to override

I didn't even need to go that far with reddit. Clicking don't show recommendations in home feed was enough, so I wouldn't waste my time on anything besides what I searched up in search bar (porn)
