Not as far as time is concerned. I might very well limp on along the path of life for another 40 or 50 years, if nothing particularly bad happens to me or to the world at large.
But I do feel my life is nearing its close regarding fundamentally new experiences. Sure, I might discover many new books to read, or games to play, or even places to visit. These are all things, however, that I've experienced many times before and that are starting to become commonplace and uninteresting.
All of this doesn't make me particularly unhappy, though. Oddly enough, suicide has never been farther from my mind than it is now. I guess I'm a bit like a prisoner who has come to enjoy the relative quiet and comfort of his cell. And yet, the realization remains that I'm somehow living in spare time. Then again, we might all be living in spare time.
