When I go out I often wear a covering so that no one who might know me sees me.
I'm extremely afraid of meeting someone from old classes, for example.
I look everywhere for people I might know so I can get around them.
Cars driving by also make me extremely afraid.
Maybe there could be someone in the car who recognizes me and makes fun of me.
It's gotten so extremely bad.
I don't want to be recognized with my glasses.
I I only talk to someone I don't know when I have contact lenses in.
My eyes continue to deteriorate and my glasses make me look extremely ugly.
Recently they have worsened again.

As someone who was very nervous and suffered from anxiety whole life, I can say it gets better with age, you stop caring how people see you and people from school forget you and you forget them.

Its a process of learning to give up and stop caring for things. I only started not giving shit after 30 which is brutal. Before that every little unpleasant encounter or a confrontation would trigger fight or flight response where you just want to curl up and disappear.

If you're still in the same neighbourhood you went to school in you will bump into people you know, but if you aren't you'll be fine just go about your day but stay vigilant.
