I tagged this "ragefuel" but I'm not really angry, just in complete disbelief that this status quo is even able to sustain itself. I go to the lab I work in and present some stuff, am praised by everyone, leave feeling accomplished, then I go to a library to study and get eviscerated by the sight of multiple cute nerdy asian girls studying, reminding me of that which I lack. This incongruence reaches a point where becomes absurd. How can I be so good in some aspects but still be a complete loser at the end of the day?

In only about a half an hour I left that place to my room. I'm going to lock in this evening in order to distract myself from all this nonsense. But the truth is, this is nothing new. It's always been like this. I was never a believer in great change, but we are talking about literally zero change over years and years.
