How to recover from learned helplessness?
Basically being reborn with a normal face/body/NT and starting to be treated like a human being from an early ageIt's not learned helplessness, but a rational reaction to a life of constant negativity, which means the only realistic way to break out of it is to have positive experiences.
But how are you gonna have those without doing anything, which is basically what learned helplessness is, you get it because you don’t do anything to get out of itIt's not learned helplessness, but a rational reaction to a life of constant negativity, which means the only realistic way to break out of it is to have positive experiences.
Yep. It is inevitable to "learn to be helpless" when the truth is, you are in fact, helpless. The only way to overcome that is to be delusional, or to have gone through the necessary experiences that mold you into a person who is not helpless.Basically being reborn with a normal face/body/NT and starting to be treated like a human being from an early age
This is a catch-22 — there is nothing you can truly do if your genetics are the obstacle that stands in your way. I, for one, am severely debilitated because I have 'learned to be helpless'; this is merely a rational reaction to the long list of negative events that have occurred to me in my miserable life, and my subpar genetics which were largely responsible for them. This is why bad genetics lead you down a spiral of negative reinforcement; unattractive face → negative social experiences → worsening of social skills → even more negative experiences → isolation → "learned helplessness."But how are you gonna have those without doing anything, which is basically what learned helplessness is, you get it because you don’t do anything to get out of it
