My mom was on the phone and upstairs so I had to open the door, it is not see through but you can see the outline of people, it was a man and a kid and I just knew for some reason they wanted to sell something or otherwise were strangers. So I opened the door and they were jehovah's witnesses, they didn't say that but just gave me a Jesus flyer and said there's a church service. I didn't want to open the door but my mom told me to.

Because of my ugliness and autism, I hate opening the door. Especially for people I don't know and people like jw. Their reaction was one of disgust. Now my ok mood is ruined for the day.

We've had a few JW's approaching us too, I gave them a flyer for our church in return :feelshaha:

Sorry to hear that. I generally make sure to keep the gate shut.

Nice :feelshaha: what do you think of them? Do you see them as a cult?

That's good you do that, you should keep doing it. I'd also like to have a gate. Unfortunately we don't have a gate, most houses in Central Europe don't. For our house you need to walk up about 12 outdoor steps, no gate or anything.

should have greeted them with a hearthy SHALOM

I never open the door unless it's for a family member.

I wouldn't have if mother wouldn't have been there. I'm 29 but still dependent because of my autism so I can't just say "no". It was just bad luck for me that she was at home + on the phone in that exact moment + upstairs + she heard the door ring.
I saw a male form and a kid form and knew it likely wouldn't be someone we knew, so I personally would not have opened.

Yes I do, for sure.

You probably already know this, but once someone leaves the JW church, the persons friends and family in the church are required to shun them and cut off contact. There is a documentary on 4 corners about it:

By definition, Jehovah Witnesses are heretics, who preach a false doctrine. The version of the Bible they take their readings from is the NWT, which has been completely altered in order to suit their beliefs, such as cutting out the last few chapters in Matthew - regarding Jesus' resurrection. This is because they don't believe that Jesus is God, and therefore can't be resurrected. This photo is taken from a WT/JW billboard:

Unfortunate

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same spot you're in, so I understand. My mother doesn't force me to open doors or anything, but she and my sister sometimes invite friends or other guests over. Feeling their eyes on me on the off chance I have to go and grab something outside of my room is agonizing, but they let me live here for free, so I guess I can't complain.
