Everything about the modern world has one thing at it's centre: validation. Through the rise of social media and virtue signalling, people have been eager to show how much of a better person they are than others. For example, charities have been capitalising on validation through showing when you donate with a social media post.
The biggest factor in the pursuit of validation is appearance. It is an undeniable fact that you cannot fake, and automatically puts a halo effect onto whomever displays it. The premise of validation is that people show that they want to be you. However, it is shown as a more benevolent way than showing assets like money, as the biological and primitive parts of humans is used to those who had mating rights were the matriarch/patriarch. Obviously those with mating rights are genetically superior. Status is directly proportional to appearance.
Everything in this world is permeated by the all encompassing cancer that is validation. Likes, retweets and "High IQ"s all perpetuate the continuous validation that we seek. The reason we come here is because we stand so low on the social ladder, because of looks, that we visit this site like a talentless whore of an Instagram model would visit social media, or a six year old buying a new fortnite skin . We are so desperate that we maxx our validation here, and that is why it's so addictive to keep coming back. The validation we get from getting a new shitty star under our name, a new colour or when someone else in our situation to whom we can relate quotes our posts . It all plays into the fact that we just want someone to recognise us and appreciate us, which we can't have because of the way we look. Thus, we're here, writing posts for others to see, maxxing our limited options of social validation.
Tldr: evolution was not designed for this; we are ugly; I tried to make this post make sense so just read it it's not that long ADHDfags.
