A lot of this stuff is fiction. Parapsychology has been an area of study for quite some time now (almost 200 years). You'd think if there was some legitimacy to any of these phenomena as part of human capabilities, we'd most likely have already seen strong evidence showing consistent ability beyond random chance.

Take something like telepathy, for example. Not only would you need a theory which explains the mechanisms and operational pathways in the human mind and body, but you'd need to demonstrate that in a statistically significant percentage of trials over a broad enough sample in extremely tight experimental conditions. As far as we know, the human brain is not a receiver of brain waves nor do we have any kind faculty for it, even though it transmits them 24/7. You would need something like that at the very least for information transfer. You'd then need to explain and demonstrate how thoughts are encoded onto brainwaves, and also how an individual would project those waves in a targeted manner.
