I think it is natural to a certain extent.

Healthy societies put some checks on it. Like, marriage, for example. One woman, one man, and adulterers are punished. A becky wants a chad. yes but post industrial revolution made womens expectations too high, hypergamy is naturally designed to spot health related shit. its why people are put off by others having acne not taking 300 chemicals a day like chad is, that is completely unnatural.
