really light, lighter than most of the premier cru sauternes, but finely balanced, honey-like with notes of orange peel

Yep. We have really fertile farmland, fertilized by the millions of rotting corpses from the two world wars. It adds a sweet tang to the wine. Really special, you won't find it anywhere else
