In a group of male friends, when a woman comes in, they all start flexing or humiliating their peers in a humorous way to impress her. My guess is that this form of social boasting is a substitute for hierarchical animal relations because:
a) physical engagement is seen as morally wrong;
b) since people laughing, even if at your expense, is considered good because it's the opposite to bad feelings, they have an excuse to act this way or to defend themselves when called out for it, since "it's just a prank, bro! Why are you being a killjoy? Not cool", which is an effective gaslighting tactic.
Unfortunately, beating them in their own game is not the best, because you can't afford to win as a low status male. Logically, it follows like:
a) this form of humor is to set a social hierarchy in which the best looking people are high;
b) higher position in such hierarchy implies better influence;
c) therefore, ugly people, who are in a lower position, have no influence themselves to make up for their bragging if they ever attempt it.
In short, the best way to beat the game is to not play it, which basically implies being isolated from society. It's a systemic form of oppression, only bluepillers have the gall to say this is isn't damaging and that ostracism is ultimately our fault.
