stop thinking of addiction in terms of substance model. Its your circumstances that make you do it.
when heroin addicts came back from vietnam, 80% of them quit on their own.
look into shit like addiction as a disorder of choice
there are legit academics challenging the idea that its the substances that are addictive and destructive
for example like 40% of homeless have jobs and a way lower number than you would think even use drugs
and drugs do not cause homelessness
most drug users are normies that we dont even recognize, they work normal jobs. Only a minority ever ends up in rehab. That group distorts the image of drug users, since most drug users quit on their own or are functional enough to never end up in treatment facilities.
This is not just about drugs, its about all behaviors, habits etc.

People who reported using illicit drugs regularly maintain pretty unremarkable routines, with the exception of using at work.

Look into this.
Its very interesting. If you didnt have a computer and you lived outside, would you still do this behavior? Why dont we just work on the kitchen table? Why do people dress differently when they go to work? Why do we have designated offices instead of just sitting on the floor or toilet with a laptop?
The reason is that we are nowadays taught to underestimate environmental influences on behavior and exaggerate individual power to change thing. Yet, as I just laid out, our behavior points to the opposite - we deliberately create environments that channels us into desired activities:
1. kitchen for cooking
2. living room for spare time
3. bedroom for sleeping
4. office for working
Thats why coffee shops exist, restaurants etc. We use our environment to shape and funnel our own behavior and even other peoples behavior (supermarket layout for example), yet when asked about it, we claim to be in total control of everything we do. Ok, so why dont you live in a 1 room apartment with a toilet, stove, bed and couch all in one room, like a prison cell?
People dress differently for the same reason. Put on your working boots, your suit = activates mental habit of being in work mode. We all have tons of these associative triggers we go through daily.
If you dont want to watch porn or use your PC, just prevent yourself from doing it by unplugging the cable and putting it on top of the wardrobe, so you have to get on a chair to get it, then plug it in etc
that little bit of extra effort required to get on your PC will mentally break the habit and stop you from doing it.
