A week ago I had this cute bank teller cash my check for me. She looked pretty young, maybe around my age. I may be going to the same bank Monday so I would wanna know if a direct “how old are you” would work?
Why, when you're going to brutally be rejected and likely publicly humiliated at her offense at such a subhuman even considering approaching her, perhaps even making a case against you for "harassment"?

You can start by asking how her day is going
Then work your way up by telling her you never seen her before and how long she's been working there
at this point if everything works out you can ask for her age without an awkward tone being present 
“How old are you?”
