Some of these countries are moving up and down like crazy:feelshaha:.

Congrats to Poland for finally cracking the top 20:feelsahh:. Also to Russia for managing to be where it is, when in 2000 it was below even Taiwan, Argentina and Switzerland.

Nigeria is the only African country that had ever gotten a taste of being on this list, and even that was only briefly.

Italy is crazily stable, and Germany finally retook the third spot, though it's now the only European country in the top five.

That's the most cluttered economic rank list ever.

Uk being no longer at the top 5:feelskek:

I'm surprised that we Spaniards are doing so well, considering the shitty governments we've had

Nuke india with ten million bombs

The lines could've been much thinner I'd say.

They tried hard to stay there for sure, and I've seen people speculating that they might overtake Japan due to the Yen weakening, but I'm not sure.

In general, whatever problems a European country has, Third World ones get ten times more of it.

Wait why is the yen weakening?

Wait why is the yen weakening?
Highest debt burden in the world, and some interesting economic policies, like the upcoming removal of the sales tax even though the government is running a massive deficit. They used to print money and fund the budget that way, but since the 2023 price shock, inflation has been persistent and Japan is finally out of deflation. That means they can no longer print money the way they used to, so removing sales taxes makes no sense.
