There seems to be agreement that decile ratings don't represent equal 10% increments.
IE if 10/10 = gigachad, 10% of the population is NOT a gigachad.
But what should the % be for each rating?
Here is an example of a bell curve which seems closer to how we use it.
These numbers aren't set in stone, the curve could be made steeper, which would result in the tips (1+10) becoming smaller (sub 2% or sub 1%) and the middle (5 and 6) becoming larger (higher than 20% or 25% each)
I don't know how we debate this though.
Historically have people made statements estimating what % they think certain tiers are?
Also how common is the miconception that "5 is average" even though clearly it has to be 5.5 as the midpoint of 1 and 10 since you can't be rated 0
