How does SLI run? I've read it's like 50/50, some games run well on it. I assume most productivity GPU intensive work runs well with 2 or more GPUs.

It ether works or it doesn't.
When it works, it's great, it almost doubles the frame rate and i never noticed any so called "microstuttering"
But when it doesn't work it's super bad, low frame rates are best case scenario, often it ends up with hard crashes.

Overall if say it's worth it since i managed to get the MSI card for 30$ used.
Most games that are demanding already support SLI and those that don't, they work well on single gpu anyways.
Only Wolfenstein New Colossus being the exception so far.

Sapphire r9 390 OC
Intel i5 6600k@ 4.5Ghz
16gb ram
1440p 144hz freesync monitor

Switched to AMD 2 years ago and never looked back. If not for 1440p monitor I could still run pretty much every game at max. Looking forward to RX Vega now but I don't see the reason to upgrade since my gpu still runs good.

@FamilyGuy1999 based necro

  • OS: Win Xp 32
  • Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon X1900 GT
  • System Memory: 2 GB RAM
go team red!

I really want a macbook but I'm too cheap these days so I'm just sticking with my pc of the last several years. I expect it should remain sufficient for me for at least a few more years to come. The only real upgrade I think I need is to get an SSD. My HDD is slow as fuck. It takes forever to boot.
