Of course the retard with a Patrick Bateman profile pic thinks it’s the best movie of all time. It’s made to appeal to fags like you. The homosexual undertones went right over your head, it’s all about appealing to your ego. Incels wouldn’t enjoy that shitslop
> MC has sex with woman
> Is somehow faggot
lol
> MC has alter ego
> This somehow makes him a faggot
Nope
> MC has band of men that engage in combat with each other, acting on the masculine instinct for violence
> MC has band of men that rebel against the established order
> This somehow makes the movie homosexual
Nope
> MC goes to testicular cancer support group
> That's gay or something
Also no, if you read the book or watched the film where did you even get this idea from?
The book/film are not about homosexuality, they're about what happens to men psychologically when society suppresses our instincts and stops men from being men. Men are programmed to hunt and fight for example -- e.g. DOOM 4 is a game I've never seen a woman play but men love it because it appeals to what we are on some level.
The MC in fight club falls into despair and nihilism because his life is just doing a meaningless office job where he doesn't have a life even remotely resembling men's historical past. Men in his society are carefully controlled and used to extract labor for the system and especially when the men are lonely and isolated like the MC (he doesn't have any friends at the beginning of the film to he seeks out other likeminded men who feel crushed by the system they're living in) it leads to despair and even disassociation.
The book and film are full of details to support this reality of men not being themselves anymore and are unfulfilled as a result -- Bob in the testicular cancer group doesn't even feel like a man anymore and the MC starts project mayhem to give his fellow men a chance at believing in something and being part of something bigger than themselves. They have a place to engage with their violent instincts, they have a brotherhood of men who support each other (even if it is in a fucked up way at times). Notice Bob got divorce raped and the MC has no family.
Some people read the film as being about the negative outcome that can occur if men are not permitted a purpose and place to be what they are. It's a great film and a great book unless you interpret it's content very differently.
Fight Club being a closet faggot movie is something reaching Youtube Essayists claim based on "muh subtext" ignoring everything obvious the film puts in your face -- it's clear the story is about crisis of masculinity in our modern world with one takeaway being
"some things must change or else men will suffer immensely -- and/or they'll start to tear the system apart eventually" basically. It's a great incel movie even if each component doesn't perfeclty line up. Same with
Taxi Driver and others like
American Psycho. Note, what the artist "intends" to make fairly often is not actually what they wind up making. E.g. If I make a piece of art with the aim of criticizing something but then it winds up demonstrating the opposite then I as the artist have failed, or more likely, my position was merely wrong to begin with. Happens all the time. The resulting art itself and what is says is what matters, not what the creator was "trying to do".
> Patrick Bateman Avi
Oh brother -- Bateman represents the type of man that is successful in our modern world. He's a complete psychopath yet gets beautiful women, exorbitant wealth -- everything. Because humans are incredibly shallow and value the wrong things with great frequency. E.g. From the Book itself --
"But inside doesn't matter". Who you and I are doesn't even matter, what matters is what we are -- e.g. Looks, Status, Money. If you read the events as literally occurring Bateman gets away with Murder because of who he is. It's about as close to
"Blackpill the movie" as you can get regardless of what the author/director's intentions were.
If you wanted to know what the "point" of using Chad from a satire piece is then just ask for Christ sake. Anyone on here could've explained it.
