Lets say a woman loves icecream. Her friends and society tell her she's young and healthy, and there is no shame anymore for women eating anything they want, and as much as they want. So she decides to be carefree and have fun trying as much icecream flavors as she can.
By 18 she's tried 15 different flavors.
By 25 she's tried 50 different flavors.
By 30 she's tried 100 different flavors.
At 31 she's told she now can only have one flavor for the rest of her life.
She cannot try the previous 100 flavors anymore, nor try any new ones.
That leaves her with two choices.
She can either stick to just one flavor and be forever frustrated and unhappy that she's missing out on the previous 100 flavors and any new ones,
Or she can continue trying new flavors of icecream forever and never truly finding satisfaction and contentment with any single one
Either way, she's screwed the moment she tried a second flavor. Not the third, not the 5th, not the 20th. The second.
