I can bench 70kg and Overhead Press 50kg. I'm 16 and have been training for 9 months. I think it's pretty decent tbh.

How strong are you at the bench? And the OHP if you do it.

How many reps at 70kg?

Never benched properly.

Gymmaxxing is cope

I did 255x1 back when I used to lift. Was 155 body weight at the time

That’s not my most impressive though. I repped 205 on shoulder press. I’m not crazy strong but a lot stronger than I look, especially for my size. I took sometimes months longs breaks from lifting. None were planned, usually following my life being upended in some way or by depression. Everytime I went back I was able to quickly gain strength and ramp back up to my previous lifts. But I haven’t lifted in like 5 years and don’t plan to anymore. No point. Im too old now (28) to have anything to gain from gymmaxxing. Back then I was motivated to lift and work by the prospect of getting swole, getting a hair transplant, and not spending my youth alone. That’s all impossible now

That's very, very impressive though. You were pushing very good numbers especially for your weight. I'm impressed. It must've taken a lot of hard work and dedication.

245lbs X 1 several years ago when I was around 165lbs.

Now, maybe 185lbs x 1.

Most men cannot bench press 225lbs. So if you can get up to that, good for you.

"The IHRSA said that in 2019, around 71.5 million Americans went to a gym. This is equivalent to 21 percent; breaking it down by gender, half were men or about 10.5 percent. Putting this information in another way, it's about 36 million men, and approximately 1 to 3 percent of this population can bench 225 pounds.Aug 17, 2022"

That said, don't be discouraged by dudes bench pressing 285lbs or 315lbs+ at the gym. Its already a massive accomplishment to be able to bench press 225lbs. Only 1 to 3 percent of gym going men can bench press 225 jfl.

Thanks. I did a combination of heavy/low reps and light speed sets 2-3x a week and gained strength quite quickly

Don't bench but 5 kilograms is the maximum weight I can handle without my eczema wounds splitting

When I was 15 my one rep max was 135 and I weighed 108 lbs.

Careful not to push urself too much and stunt ur growth

my bodyweight

105kg bench, 70kg ohp atm. It ain't much but it's honest work.

No, lifting weights is fine. Just don’t push urself. Don’t u get it
unless you take steroids and perform the exercises properly you're fine. alot of people try to put unnecessary fear into teens saying they'll ruin their bodies for no reason

I’ve seen in the gym teens have such poor form when lifting weights and it terrifies me. They won’t gradually increase but try to rapidly increase with poor form which is very very bad.

135lbs for around 10-20 rpx

Also jfl at being 16 and thinking it's over. What's your main problem ?

Like 150 or 160 lbs but I haven’t benched in a while. My genetics are horrible for weight lifting. Long skinny arms and really hard yo put on muscle

your ohp is too much compared to bench
No it's not? 2/3 is not a lot. Op has slightly better ohp to bp ratio than me.

Anyhow my arms are strong enough to ohp 70kg which imo is not much. It'd be weird if my ohp was less.

Edit: did a quick google, my ratio is the most common ratio lol

I can bench 85kg for 1 and best OHP I have done was 52.5kg for 5 sets of 3.
