Goals are supposed to be realistic and attainable or they don't work as motivation and you will end up even more depressed.

Is like having the goal of going to the moon during 2020,is extremely unlikely to happen during this year (if ever) and you will end sadder and even more depressed when you don't get it.

Instead if your goal is to lose 10kg during 2020 that's an acceptable and realistic goal, you may fail anyway,but it's far more likely to happen and that gives you motivation.

Same with the gf thing,for me it's pretty much a lost cause,I should rather concentrate on more productive things like losing weight or learning to code or get some skills.
